"We ate here December 10 and got there shortly after 5:00 pm. We first visited the shop next door. They had lots of cool stuff for sale and some of the women's clothing was very unique. We entered the cafe directly from the shop and went up to the counter to order. My cousins got the fish tacos (grilled) and the shrimp dinner (boiled) and I got the fish/shrimp dinner (fried.) Everything was delicious. I had some leftover fries and ordinarily I would have left them, but they were so good I took them home to eat later. (They had large and small styrofoam take home containers on a cart so you're able to go and get what you need.) The atmosphere was very casual and the staff was quite attentive. Overall, I thought it was a good value for the money. I would definitely eat here again."

"Best grilled fish tacos in East Texas. They are the perfect combination of sweet and spice. The French fries are also amazing with a crispy batter. We love stopping at Wades Place in Chandler on our way through town. Fast friendly service. In all of the years of visiting, we have never had bad service."

"If I had to choose one place to eat for the rest of my life, this would be it. We drive in 2.5 hours every 3 months and we MUST stop at Wade's. We used to live in the area and it was a weekly lunch and dinner. They simply cook boiled shrimp, crawfish AND catfish to perfection. They have never failed us. During the fall, spring, and summer they have great outdoor seating. "

"I finally had a chance to try Wade's Place in Chandler. I was on my way to drop off a rescue dog with its new owner and that's when I passed up Wade's and realized I've never ate there before. We dropped the puppy off and made our way back to the restaurant. It was myself, my oldest, one of my twins (his name is actually Wade), and their friend. Wade and myself got the lunch special (crawfish etouffee over two crispy catfish filets, on a bed of rice, served with corn on the cob). My oldest got the 8 piece shrimp dinner and their friend got the shrimp poboy. Maybe 10 minutes went by and they started to bring our food out. We were all very pleased with everything. The catfish was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. The crawfish etouffee had such a good flavor, especially over the perfectly cooked rice. The older boys loved their shrimp as well. The corn had quite the kick to it, but we still ate it, seeing as it had a good flavor. The fries were excellent by the way. They all split that 1 piece of cake for some reason lol. They said the flavor was on point, but they felt like it wasn't that moist. Either way, they left no crumbs behind. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other options on their menu in the near future. It's only a short drive from Tyler."

"Make sure to try and get here early as the line starts to build towards dinner time. Plenty of seating outdoors and indoors, and the food is great to eat. I ordered the king crab legs and a shrimp po boy and had to take it home as it was a lot of food to eat. There is also a shopping center next door to pass the time if the line is long. Will be back for more good sea food and burgers."

"Really loved their food. Had the fish dinner and better half had the shrimp dinner. Food was quick and hot. Shrimp were big, perfectly cooked and lightly fried. Fish had a cornmeal batter! Yumm! Not a lot of fries, but I'd rather fill up on seafood! Have to check their hours, but admire a place that prioritizes their food and not their hours. Wish we lived closer. Locals were waiting at the door for them to open. Always a good sign."

"Absolutely love Wade's. Counter service and they bring your food to you. The line is usually long, can wait up to 30 minutes but absolutely worth the wait. During crawfish season this is some of the best you will find with great seasoning. I had the fried shrimp with baked potato but the fried fish is just as good. If they ever have etuoffe on the special board when you are there it is great. Highly recommend."
